Water in agriculture is always more a living matter and at the centre of the debate on water management policies.
The importance of agricultural sector, the strategic role of irrigation, the situation of some infrastructures and the lack of coordinated water policies which get together different uses underlie the need of policies of water efficiency.
The agricultural sector is developing solutions and technologies to promote the optimisation of water resources concerning both irrigation both adduction.
The study “Water management policies in agriculture” has been presented during the conference “Water, agriculture and environment”. The aim of the study is to value water saving strategies in an environmental, social and economical way.
The event aims to promote a sustainable management of water in agriculture releasing best practices collected involving Italian and international partner as: policy makers, institutions and associations, food&beverage industry, suppliers of technologies and materials for agriculture, etc.
