WASTE MANAGEMENT,
THE COMPLEXITY OF CHANGE
Rome, 4th December 2024 h 9.00 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Palazzo Merulana, Via Merulana, 121analyzes current trends in the waste management sector, tracing its evolution since its first edition in 2014 and outlining possible future developments.
Over the years, there has been a gradual convergence between the urban and special waste sectors, while innovation has led to new solutions, attracting players from different industries.
This trend has been reflected in extraordinary operations, which, between 2023 and 2024, have focused on strategic collaboration aimed at sharing resources and know-how.
At the same time, the sector has seen a gradual consolidation of operators, while compliance schemes have increasingly become multi-stream and multi-consortium.
However, some critical issues remain, particularly at the infrastructure level, and new challenges are emerging. Among them is the increasing number of end-of-life photovoltaic panels, which will require adequate processing capacity in the coming years.
The key topics of the report, “WASTE MANAGEMENT: THE COMPLEXITY OF CHANGE”, will be discussed by major industry operators and stakeholders at the traditional Annual Conference.
