Economist, specialised in strategy and corporate finance in the energy and environment industries, both at an academic and professional level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduated with honours at Bocconi University, researcher at Bocconi University itself, first at Stock Exchange Institute and then at Space Bocconi, since its establishment in 1990, in joint venture with Boston Northeasten University. He started the teaching of \u201cEcology&Safety in industrial companies\u201d, the first academic course in Italy about environment management and in 1994 published the first book about this in Italy \u201cEnvironment management\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later he\u2019s professor in various academic courses, among them: \u201cEconomy and management of Utilities\u201d, \u201cNetwork services management and services marketing\u201d, \u201cAccounting and environmental evaluation\u201d at the Master in Economy and Management of Environmental Services and \u201cTechnological and market profiles of the environmental services\u201d at the Master Economy and Management of Environmental Services at Bocconi University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s scientific director of Irex Monitor, the major think tank in Italy about renewable energy and smart energy and of WAS – Waste Strategy, research centre of waste management and recycling industry. Moreover, he supervises Top Utility, observatory for the excellence in public utility industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to a wide strategic management experience, Marangoni was one of the first in Italy to deal with cost-benefit analysis, environmental policies, circular economy and sustainability, becoming one of the major Italian experts in business and financial issues on environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is author of several studies and analysis on the creation of shared value in various sectors, developing a specific evaluation methodology that is nowadays the reference point on the topic in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s specialised in energy industry, utilities, waste management & recycling. He is the author of several publications<\/a>, especially on environment, energy, public utilities and infrastructures, member of scientific committees and referee of various journals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is member of Renewable Industry Advisory Network of IEA, International Energy Agency of Paris, member of UN\u2019s REN21. Marangoni is also member of International Association for Energy Economics, of Energy Economists Italian Association and of Shared Value Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
